Kitchen Remodel - Phase 3

The tile is down an the trim is up!  The contractors we hired to do our tile, trim and did an amazing job; the entire kitchen is transformed.



Our next stop on the renovation crazy train is to sand down all of the patch work, prime and paint the ceiling, then prime and paint the walls.  The goal is to have something to show Mom when she gets into town this coming Friday the 18th.  After that, all that's left are a couple coats of polyurethane, install the cabinets and viola!  A brand new kitchen for under $5,000.

Kitchen Remodel - Phase 2

Phase 2 of the kitchen reno is complete.  We had an electrician come in on Sunday and install some recessed lighting - the effect is amazing!  We aren't sure what to do with this enormous, softly light space.  This coming weekend will bring new title on the floors, and erase one of the few remaining features I can't stand about this house.  Justin and I will have to find a way to stay out of the house for a few days; I'm sure we will think of something.  Once the floor is done I will post some more pictures.
